Home Inspections Prior to Sales are Falling as Market Booms
The housing market in Ontario is incredibly hot, and inspections are suffering as a result. Many buyers are simply ignoring the need for an inspection as they fear that it will hinder their opportunity to purchase a house.
Rather than get an inspection as a condition for a sale, buyers are moving towards the idea that they should get an inspection after purchase. The risks are great and costs could be substantial.
